Charleston Proposal // Pablo + Logan

It’s truly heart-warming when a gentleman reaches out desiring assistance with planning and capturing a proposal. Pablo, in his pursuit of a flawless surprise Charleston proposal, connected with me to make his once-in-a lifetime moment unforgettable.

Charleston Proposal Strategy

Our proposal strategy was simple yet effective. I positioned myself at Hampton Park in downtown Charleston, pretending to capture headshots of my second photographer. As Pablo and Logan approached the agreed-upon location, I seized the opportunity to compliment them as a couple. I explained how I was a photographer looking to expand my couple portfolio and asked if they would model for me. Although Logan displayed some hesitation, Pablo enthusiastically embraced our plan and skillfully encouraged her to participate in the “modeling” session.

As I took a few posed portraits, I made sure to highlight the engagement ring peeking out from Pablo’s back pocket. At this point, Logan still had no idea that behind my request for a quick photoshoot was an impending Charleston proposal.

A Beautiful Proposal

Following our staged session, I thanked Pablo and Logan for their time and contribution to expanding my photography portfolio. As we collectively feigned our farewells, I strategically positioned myself for the impending surprise. Sensing the opportune moment, Pablo took the lead and proposed, unveiling the genuine purpose behind our gathering. The heartfelt emotions captured in their engagement photos eloquently conveyed the depth of their shared love.

Proposal Picnic Celebration

Following the lovely Charleston proposal, Pablo whisked Logan away to a secluded spot in Hampton Park for a romantic picnic, curated by Pampas & Picnics. The beautiful setting included a “Do You Know Me?” game and a delectable charcuterie box from Nosh Boards Charleston. While I captured a few photos of their enchanting picnic setup, I respectfully left them to savor the rest of the evening in private.

Pablo and Logan’s surprise proposal in Charleston was a wonderful blend of spontaneity, surprises, and heartfelt expressions of love. Meeting this beautiful couple and documenting this significant chapter in their relationship brought me immense joy and happiness. I’m passionate about serving my clients and look forward to capturing many more love stories in the future!
