The Journey Begins

I first met Jon and Lauren when they contacted me to photograph their maternity session. Prior to our first phone consultation, Lauren already had a vision of what she wanted for her maternity portraits. It was my joy to listen to Lauren’s creative thoughts and make it my goal to produce what she envisioned. As a former dancer comfortable performing, Lauren was confident and graceful in front of my camera.

Welcome Home

A few months following Lauren’s maternity session, I visited the Rier’s Charleston home to welcome their new baby girl. The family chose a lifestyle newborn session to capture baby Whitney in her first days after birth. Connecting with this beautiful family during their maternity session set the stage for a relaxed and enjoyable newborn session. The familiarity allowed the family to be at ease, resulting in authentic moments. From the soft glow of the nursery to the gentle coos of the baby Whitney, every detail was carefully framed telling a heartfelt story.

Nursery Decor

As I opened door, I saw a perfect nursery canvas. The pink and white hues of Whitney’s room painted a picture of pure bliss. The adorable print combinations with touches of leopard spots and zebra stripes created an ambiance that was both playful and cozy. The room’s decor seamlessly reflected the growing family’s personality, making the session a blend of comfort and style. The atmosphere resonated love and warmth, providing the perfect backdrop for intimate and candid family portraits.

Timeless Heirloom Images

Magic unfolded as we swaddled Whitney in soft blankets and captured her peacefully sleeping in the crib. The soft whites throughout her nursery amplified the available window light assisting with the lighter portrait mood. Witnessing this family’s first moments at home with their newest addition was truly my privilege and honor. As always, I hope my time spent behind the camera will produce images forever treasured by my clients.
